Daiyusugi is a general term for Japanese cedar produced in Minamiashigara City and is a registered trademark. Minamiashigara city is located west of Tokyo, at the foot of the Hakone mountains and near Mount Fuji. The cedar trees that grow there are called Daiyu sugi, and their branches and leaves are distilled using local sacred water to extract essential oils and aromatic water.

Natural materials

The fragrance is extracted from cedar branches and leaves by steam distillation.　Only a few of essential oil can be extracted from branches and leaves.　It is so concentrated. The aroma water extracted at the same time contains fragrance and ingredients.
